Head Up, Head Down

Dear Terrence,

Since you first entered my classroom, you have really not been that much of a positive influence on the rest of the class. But today, you really set some example. After the practice test — yes, I hate standardized testing, too — you put your head down.

“He said he was feeling bad this morning,” my coteacher explained.

And yet you stayed alert long enough to make it through the practice. That’s called being an adult.

Well done.

Hoping to see more of such maturity,
Your Teacher
